NTT Training and Welcome Meeting 11/14 6-8pm

NTT Training and Welcome Meeting 11/14 6-8pm

Calling all Non-Tenure Track Faculty teaching in the College of Arts and Sciences or the English Language Learner Program!  Wednesday, November 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. in Mundelein 407, the General Membership meeting will be held in a workshop format that will include the following:

  • Learn your rights under our union contract agreement and pick up a copy of the agreement! Booklets that detail your rights as a unionized faculty member will be available and discussed at the meeting. You may reach out to your department representative for a booklet if need be as well.
  • Learn about our professional development fund! Over $10K of funding is still available for professional development stipends of no more than $600 each for full and part-time unionized faculty. Representatives will be present at the meeting to address your questions about how you may take part in this opportunity.
  • Become a member! All unit members must either sign a card and become a voting union member or sign an agency fee card and become a “fee payer”.  As a “fee payer”, you would pay 89% of dues and be ineligible to be an elected union officer or vote on future union business. Full membership is encouraged, but signing a card for one of the two member options is essential.

Please note that per the language in the contract, paying the associated fees is a condition of employment at Loyola University Chicago. You may come to the meeting to learn more before you sign, or simply sign a card here.

Please feel free to contact your union departmental representative (whose contact information you may find in prior emails) and/or organizer Liz Towell (at with any questions. We hope to see you there!
