11.1.2017 NTT Faculty Bargaining Update

11.1.2017 NTT Faculty Bargaining Update

In recent negotiations with Loyola administration, we made our proposals on promotions, appointments, course assignments, and evaluations – all aimed at making non-tenure track, and particularly, adjunct faculty positions more stable and predictable.

For full-time NTT faculty, we proposed a clear promotional path to Advanced and Senior Lecturer positions, with longer appointments and recourse if promotions are unfairly denied.

NTT Faculty: Join us @ Bargaining 9/25, 9/26 & 10/5

Dear Colleagues,

As contingent faculty, we are running to our next class or to our next school or to pick up the kids from daycare where we spend most of our paycheck. We know that most folks won’t be able to stay for full sessions and that’s okay. But this is an NTT Faculty Union and your voice needs to be heard. Even if you can only make it for a half-hour, please make sure to show up and participate.

The Administration’s Request for Review/Appeal (mostly) Denied

We look forward to continuing to build our direct relationship with the administration through our contract negotiations in order to make Loyola the best school it can be for our entire academic community. We want the administration, our tenure-track colleagues, and the university community to know that we share …
